My paternal line from 1900 back is given below. My surname is Mounts, but my father's biological father's surname was Suter; and a couple of generations further back the paternity was uncertain, but the results of my Y-DNA test at least confirm that it was a Lawson, as the majority of my close matches were Lawsons and none were Suters (or Souders or any of the other surname variations from that project). I only had circumstantial evidence to support this before.
I still don't know for certain whether my line includes only Elisha Lawson or also his son, Samuel; it would probably take a higher-resolution DNA test than is currently available to distinguish that. What circumstantial evidence I have seems to point to Elisha but doesn't rule out Samuel.
