Hanover County, VA, Deeds 1783-1792, pages 298-299, 11 December 1783 – Robert Lawson and Sarah, his wife, to Edwin Fleet of Hanover County; Said Sarah did by deed of sale 11th day of this Instant (December) convey all rights, title and interest in an undivided tract of land late the Dower land of Mrs. Sarah Pierce, deceased, containing (blank) acres by survey now in occupation of said Fleet. For 100 pounds, sells all rights and claim to the seventh part of the tract now remaining undivided and to which part said Sarah was entitled as on of the coparceners of John Pierce Gentleman, deceased, as expressed in her deed to said Henry and Edwin Fleet. Signed Robert Lawson and Sarah Lawson.
